§ Dr. MarekTo ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs when he last received representations from the Government of Mauritius relating to the sovereignty of the Chagos group of islands.
§ Mr. Lennox-BoydFollowing discussions at official level, we reaffirmed to the Government of the Republic of Mauritius on 1 July that if the latter has proposals which it wishes to put to us concerning future arrangements for the British Indian Ocean Territory, we remain ready to give these close consideration.
