§ Mr. BlunkettTo ask the Secretary of State for Health (1) what guidance has been given to trust hospitals in relation to the treatment of heart disease patients over the age of 65 years; and if she will make a statement;
(2) if her Department has any plans to issue guidance to national health service trust hospitals regarding the imposition of age-related admissions policies; and if she will make a statement.
§ Mr. SackvilleDecisions concerning the assessment and treatment of national health service patients are matters for the professional judgment of the clinicians involved in the individual case.
