Ms. Rachel Squire

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland whether a decision has now been made on the future of the Scottish fishery protection patrols run by the Royal Navy from Rosyth.

Sir Hector Monro

[holding answer of 15 December 1992]: The Scottish Fisheries Protection Agency expects to reach agreement shortly with the Ministry of Defence on a contract to provide fisheries protection patrols in Scottish waters in 1993–94. No decision has been taken on arrangements for 1994–95 and future years.
