Mr. Wallace

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will indicate which recommendations made by Lord Clyde in the Orkney inquiry report he has(a) accepted, (b) already implemented, (c) rejected or (d) is still considering; and if he will make a statement.

[holding answer 16 December 1992]: Lord Clyde's recommendations cover a wide range of issues. Not all were directed to my right hon. Friend. Action to follow-up the recommendations can be summarised as follows:
