§ Mr. PikeTo ask the Secretary of State for Education what response his Department has made to Lancashire county council's capital expenditure bid for 1993–94, in cash and percentage terms.
§ Mr. ForthI announced yesterday that Lancashire county council has been allocated a total annual capital guideline for schools for 1993–94 of £11.129 million, representing 30 per cent. of its total bid. They will also be eligible for up to £1.152 million of additional resources, issued as supplementary credit approvals, subject to our decisions on undecided statutory proposals and on the progress made on two projects at voluntary-aided schools.
They will receive an allocation in 1993–94 of £5.642 million for minor and major projects at voluntary-aided and special agreement schools.
