§ Baroness Chalker of WallaseyWe are kept fully informed by the US and Russia of progress towards finalising in treaty form the strategic arms reductions agreed between Presidents Bush and Yeltsin in June this year. We have received firm assurances from the Governments of Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan that they are committed to implementing START and its accompanying protocol.
