§ Mr. Baldry[holding answer 14 December 1992]: The level of housing capital expenditure in Rotherham in 1993–94 is a matter for the borough council to decide in the light of the available resources. The authority's proposed programme for housing capital expenditure in 1993–94, included in its housing investment programme—HIP—submission, contains no expenditure on new housebuilding by the council. Details of local authority HIP allocations for 1993–94 will be announced later this week.
