§ Mr. Robert JacksonNo. Standards conduct in the civil service are regulated by the "Civil Service Code", a copy of which is in the Library. The Royal Commission on Standards of Conduct in Public Life 1974–1976 (Cmnd. 6524) recommended against the establishment of a new agency to oversee investigations of alleged impropriety. There are no grounds for reconsidering that recommendation.
