§ Dr. MawhinneyWe welcome the introduction of national vocational qualifications (NVQs) for health and social care. Joint initiatives where practical and relevant, such as the Suffolk County Consortium, are also welcome. The implementation of NVQs is a matter for employers; who are also responsible for providing opportunities for training.
