HC Deb 08 December 1992 vol 215 c557W
Mr. Llew Smith

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what information the Overseas Development Administration collects on the levels of morbidity and mortality in countries to which Her Majesty's Government send aid moneys or provide support technology and assistance.

Mr. Lennox-Boyd

The Overseas Development Administration uses data produced and analysed by developing country Governments, the UN and its agencies, other international organisations and academic bodies. The ODA itself does not collect morbidity and mortality data but has provided technical and financial assistance to both countries and UN agencies to support the collection and dissemination of such data.
