§ Mr. EggarThere is no fixed period of notice for special inspections in the relevant safeguards agreements; these provide for prior consultation between the state and the IAEA in circumstances which may lead to a special inspection. In case action by the state is essential and urgent the IAEA board of governors may call upon the state to take the required action without delay.
