§ Ms. WalleyTo ask the President of the Board of Trade what are the arrangements for liaison between his Department and the safeguards authorities at(a) Euratom and (b) the International Atomic Energy Agency over provision of data on the movements into and out of the United Kingdom of (i) plutonium, (ii) enriched uranium, (iii) natural uranium and (iv) spent nuclear fuel, respectively.
§ Mr. EggarThe Department forwards to the Euratom safeguards directorate reports submitted in accordance with Euratom regulation 3227/76 on transfers of civil nuclear material. These reports include those materials referred to in the question. In accordance with the UK/IAEA/Euratom safeguards agreement—INFCIRC/263—relevant information is then passed to the IAEA by Euratom.
