HC Deb 04 December 1992 vol 215 c436W
92. Mr. Raymond S. Robertson

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs how many civil servants from each wing of his Department have been relocated from London to other parts of the United Kingdom(a) in the last five years and (b) in the last 10 years; and to where they were relocated.

Mr. Goodlad

Since 1988, 97 diplomatic wing posts have been relocated to Hanslope park, near Milton Keynes. In the same period the aid wing has relocated 53 jobs to East Kilbride and 321 to Chatham. No relocations took place in the previous five years; 427 posts from the aid wing had already, however, been moved from London to East Kilbride in 1981.
