HL Deb 03 December 1992 vol 540 c99WA
Lord Kennet

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will now publish the cost benefit analyses on the basis of which they decided that senior persons in receipt of pay from the taxpayer should not be subjected to any salary freeze.

The Minister of State, Department of Transport (The Earl of Caithness)

We refer the noble Lord to the Answer we provided yesterday to his other question about senior public servants. Groups who are subject to the recommendations of the Top Salaries Review Body will receive no pay increase in respect of 1993. In the circumstances described in my other reply, no cost benefit analyses were conducted in respect of the pay of these public servants.
