§ Mr. Peter LloydThe obsolete national air raid warning siren network is to be closed as soon as possible. My officials have approached those local authorities which are understood to use the siren system for flood warning purposes and have asked them whether they wish to retain the equipment for such future use and to be responsible for its upkeep. Arrangements will be made to effect retention where it is sought.
