Mr. Galbraith

To ask the Secretary of State for Employment what proportion of the money allocated to the Health and Safety Executive following the transfer of the offshore safety division was spent in 1991–92; and what proportion of it has been spent in 1992–93.

Information is not available in the precise form requested. However HSC/E's direct expenditure on its offshore safety division in 1991–92 was £11.5 million; the forecast for 1992–93 is currently £19.9 million.
