§ Sir Wyn RobertsResponsibility for providing further education is currently the responsibility of the local authorities. From 1 April 1993 the Further Education Funding Council for Wales will take over the responsibility for funding further education provision. It is not possible to say at this stage how many further education courses of different kinds will be available in South Wales colleges after September 1993 since this depends on a variety of factors.
