§ Mr. HanleyThe individual European Community programmes, operated under the Northern Ireland community support framework, are not aimed specifically at elderly people, although the latter may benefit indirectly. As part of an European Community action programme for older people, which culminates in a European Year of Older People and Solidarity between Generations in 1993, a limited amount of funding is being made available to support mainly pan-European activities to mark the year.
