HC Deb 22 October 1991 vol 196 c656W
Mrs. Margaret Ewing

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland on how many occasions since taking office he has met with the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority to discuss the storage and reprocessing of spent nuclear fuel at Dounreay.

Lord James Douglas-Hamilton

My right hon. Friend has had no such meetings but officials are in very regular contact with UKAEA: in particular, Her Majesty's industrial pollution inspectors spent 53 days at Dounreay, carrying out various inspections and discussions, in the 12-month period ended 31 March 1991.
