§ Ms. ShortTo ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland (1) how many conceptions in 1990 to residents of Northern Ireland aged under 20 years(a) occurred outside marriage, (b) occurred outside marriage and led to maternity inside marriage and (c) led to a birth outside marriage which was jointly registered by both parents;
(2) if he will list (a) the total number and rate of conceptions in 1990 to residents of Northern Ireland aged under 16 and 16 to 19 years and (b) in each of these age groups, respectively, the outcome of conceptions in 1990 broken down into live births, still births and terminations carried out from zero to 12 weeks' gestation, 13 to 19 weeks and 20 or more weeks in (i) England and Wales under the terms of the Abortion Act 1967 and (ii) Northern Ireland under prevailing legislation in the Province.
