To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he will list by year for the last four years, and for the current year to-date, the number of vehicle journeys on the(a) A1 (M), (b) M18, (c) M180, (d) M1 and (e) M62 involving the transport of (i) medium and (ii) high-level radioactive material.

It is our policy not to give details of the movement of defence radioactive materials. Responsibility for the transport of civilian radioactive material lies with my right hon. and learned Friend the Secretary of State for Transport.
