§ Mr. FreemanSince the introduction of InterCity 225 services on 8 July, I understand that four Scotland/London and five London/Scotland services have been cancelled. This represents less than 0.5 per cent. of the scheduled service.
§ Mr. RedmondTo ask the Secretary of State for Transport if he will list for the last 12 months how many InterCity 225 services have been cancelled on the(a) Leeds/Bradford-London King's Cross and (b) London King's Cross-Leeds/Bradford service.
§ Mr. FreemanDuring the last 12 months both 125 and 225 services have been operated on the London-Leeds/ Bradford route. A breakdown of cancellations between 125 and 225 services is not available. Taking both services together, I understand that over this period 58 London-Leeds/Bradford and 69 Leeds/Bradford-London services were cancelled. This represents approximately 1 per cent. of the scheduled service.
