§ Mr. HanleyThe total number of patients waiting for cardiac surgery at 30 September was 991. In the year from September 1990 to September 1991, a total of 660 cardiac operations were carried out. Current information on the numbers waiting specifically for by-pass grafts and on the number of such operations carried out is not held centrally.
