§ Mr. DorrellResponsibility for arranging for the provision of dental health education and preventive programmes is delegated to district health authorities. Information on the total cost of such programmes is not available centrally. In 1990–91, £538,000 was provided from central funds to support local fluoridation schemes and oral health education programmes.
