HC Deb 21 October 1991 vol 196 c435W
Mr. Redmond

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security if he will bring forward proposals to allow everybody over 60 years to have the right of a minimum of £400 death grant to help with funeral expenses.

Mr. Scott

I am satisfied that the present arrangements are effective because they target help on those who need it most and we have no plans to change them.
