To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what is his Department's policy on the payment of invoices to small and medium sized businesses.

Mr. Curry

The policy of MAFF in payment of invoices to small and medium sized businesses is to comply with this Department's standard contractual terms which are 30 days from receipt of a correct invoice. The only exception is when prompt payment terms are negotiated; on such occasions the Department pays within 14 days of receipt of invoice.
