To ask the Secretary of State for Employment if he will publish a table showing his estimate of the number of apprenticeships in the construction industry, by trade, in each year since 1975; and if he will make a statement.

The available estimates from the Labour Force Survey are given in the following table. I will write to the hon. Member about his request for figures by trade.
