Mr. JacksonUnit wage costs in mining and manufacturing in the former Federal Republic of Germany rose by 3 per cent. in the year to the second quarter of 1991, which is the latest available information. In the same period unit wage costs in manufacturing in the United Kingdom rose by 11 per cent.
