§ Mr. John PattenIn the period 1 April 1990 to 30 June 1991 the magistrates courts made 3,960,111 liability orders. During this period the courts ordered the immediate or suspended committal to prison of 448 non-payers. Information for the period 1 July to 30 September should be available in mid-November and will then be placed in the Library in the usual way.
