§ Mr. RaffanTo ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (1) what assessment he has made of the reasons for the fall in applications for new licences and animal test certificates in 1990;
(2) what estimate he has made of the average cost involved and length of time required by veterinary medicine companies in preparing data on safety and quality for submission of an application for new products; and if he will outline the data required to be submitted;
(3)what assessment he has made of the effect of the cost of licensing veterinary medicine products on the amount of research undertaken.
