To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what were the total costs of the Property Services Agency THESIS computer system.

Further to my reply of 15 February 1991,Official Report, column 597, it has now become clear that some additional costs should be attributed to THESIS. Property Services Agency Services has also had less success than anticipated in finding alternative uses for some of the equipment purchased for the THESIS project. The effect is to increase the net cost of the PSA THESIS computer system to £12.1 million.
