§ Mr. Worthington
To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what percentage of the relevant age cohort attained minimum qualification standard for higher education in each year since 1979.

§ Mr. Michael Forsyth
The qualified leaver index, calulated as the number of school and further education leavers with three or more highers or equivalent qualifications expressed as a percentage of the population aged 17 years, is shown in the table.
