§ Mr. DorrellIn common with other NHS supplies organisations, the West Midlands regional health authority supplies organisation has achieved some notable improvements in performance in recent years, but there remains room for improvement. The management executive has now established a new National Supplies Authority which will take over from regional and district health authorities the responsibility for providing comprehensive and value for money supplies services to all NHS units, including those in the West Midlands. The transfer is planned to take place in October 1992.
