HC Deb 14 October 1991 vol 196 c112W
Dr. Marek

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport whether he has received any approaches regarding the introduction of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to the United Kingdom air service.

Mr. McLoughlin

The two United Kingdom airlines holding licences from the Civil Aviation Authority to serve Taiwan have had contacts with officials in the Department about their plans to operate such a service in the future. No Taiwanese airline has sought permission to serve the United Kingdom.
