§ Mrs. ChalkerWe plan to spend around £30 million of bilateral aid this year in direct support of "good government" activities, such as support for the legal sector, administrative reform, responsible policing and democratic processes. This is 3 per cent. of total bilateral aid. The balance of payment support we plan to provide to countries implementing economic reform programmes will reach over £140 million this year.
