§ Mr. LeighMy Department has not commissioned any research on the environmental impact of disposable nappies from cradle to grave. It is possible that nappies will be chosen as one of the product categories for early consideration under the proposed EC eco-labelling scheme. If so, my officials will of course consider the need for any appropriate research.
