To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what information he has on the destination of youth training programme leavers for each year since 1989–90; and, of those who found employment, how many were with the employer who provided their training.

Information on YTP leavers from full-time training provision whose destinations are known is as follows:

Figures are not available for YTP leavers who found employment with the employer who provided their training.

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many people have attended restart interviews in 1990–91 and since 1 April 1991; and what were the results of those interviews broken down to show how many interviewees were placed in either(a) Action for Community Employment, (b) the job training programme, (c) the enterprise allowance scheme, (d) job clubs, (e) restart courses and (f) jobs; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Needham

In 1990–91 75,025 people attended restart interviews. In the period April–September a further 35,371 attended. Placements were as follows:
