§ Mr. Kenneth CarlisleMy right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for the Environment is issuing guidance on air pollution standards for coating processes which will be subject to pollution control under part I of the Environmental Protection Act 1990. One of the options considered by the guidance will be to change to 639W low-solvent coatings. My Department is investigating alternatives to solvent-based paints in its own particular circumstances.
