§ Mr. Alan HowarthBased on actual expenditure and provision, the science budget in 1992–93 will be 31.8 per cent. higher in real terms than it was in 1978.79. However, after making appropriate adjustments for certain transfers of funding responsibilities since 1978–79, including the proposed change in the dual-support arrangements, the increase will be 23–7 per cent.
