Mr. Cohen

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will give figures for the convictions of suspects indicted for murder for each year from 1982 to 1989 for(a) men and (b) women broken down by category of conviction.

The information in the table relates to homicides recorded in England and Wales from 1982 to 1989 inclusive. The convictions of suspects indicted for murder are given separately for men and women.
