To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many(a) men and (b) women in 1990–91 and since April 1991 have joined job clubs; how many have left; how many leavers got jobs; and how many entered another positive outcome.

In 1990–91 a total of 3,674 people joined job clubs; 3,033 have left, 1,640 got jobs and there were 848 other positive outcomes. In the period April to October 1991 a total of 2,346 people joined job clubs; 1,914 have left, 1,034 got jobs and there were 563 other positive outcomes. Separate figures for men and women are not available.
