§ Mr. SillarsTo ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he has made any estimate of the number of places Scotland will be allocated from the United Kingdom share of 24 seats on the proposed regional committee as part of the political union draft treaty terms.
§ Mr. Garel-JonesThe arrangements for selecting members of the proposed new committee of the regions will be for member states to decide. The distribution of United Kingdom places will be considered when the final outcome of the negotiations is known.
