Friend has received responses to his consultation paper from both Welsh local authority associations; from each Welsh county council and district council; from individual community councils, and their representative bodies; from a number of professional bodies and societies; and from many individuals, including several Members of Parliament. The vast majority of these responses express support for the establishment of a system of unitary authorities in Wales.
