Ms. Primarolo

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will provide examples for council flats or two-bedroom terraced properties for the same areas as he provided in his press release of 19 November for a 1960s built three-bedroom semi-detached house.

Mr. Key

The information requested is not available.

Mr. Gould

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will publish a table showing his estimate of the council tax bill payable and the community charge bill payable in 1991–92 for a couple living in(a) a 1960s built three-bedroom semi-detached house and (b) a 1960s built four-bedroom detached house for each English council.

Mr. Heseltine

I have today placed in the Library tables providing the information requested.

Ms. Primarolo

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will give the addresses for each of the 1960s built three bedroom semi-detached houses used to illustrate comparison between the last rates bill, current poll tax bill and the future council tax bill published in a press release from his Department on 19 November 1991.

Mr. Key

The figures published on 19 November were based on estimates of value provided by the Valuation Office. These estimates relate to typical properties rather than actual addresses.
