§ Mr. Michael MorrisTo ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will outline the arrangements made to co-ordinate the duties of the BBC external services and of the Export Credits Guarantee Department with respect to promotion of United Kingdom commercial interests.
§ Mr. SainsburyThe BBC World Service and the Export Credits Guarantee Department are two separate organisation with separate aims and objectives. However, ECGD does keep the BBC World Service informed about its activities. There are no plans to co-ordinate more closely their respective roles.
