§ Mr. Hill
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what estimate is now foreseen for the completion of the missing link of the M3 motorway.

§ Mr. Chope
The Compton to Bassett section of the M3 is due for completion by the end of the year. The final section of the M3 around Winchester is programmed for completion by the end of 1994. This will complete the motorway route from London to Southampton.
