§ Mrs. ChalkerThe know-how fund currently funds projects in Poland, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Bulgaria, Romania, the Baltic states and the Soviet Union. It funded projects in the former GDR from April 1990 until German reunification. We have no plans at present to extend the fund to any additional countries.
Expenditure under the Fund in 1989–90 and 1990–91, and commitments to date in 1991–92 by country are as follows:

§ Mrs. ChalkerOf the £43,210,000 raised overseas by the Simple Truth Appeal, £31,468,000 was contributed by overseas Governments and £11,742,000 by individual and corporate donors. These contributions were made direct to United Nations and Red Cross agencies.
