§ Mr. MacGregorExperience so far shows that the two European Standing Committees are working well and have made a real contribution to the improved scrutiny of European legislation. I am currently seeking views from the Select Committee on Procedure as part of a first stage review of the new scrutiny arrangements and will consider carefully any recommendations which the Committee might make.
