To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry how many countries are currently off cover for the Export Credits Guarantee Department; and what percentage of the world's population this represents.

The Export Credits Guarantee Department currently offers some credit insurance cover for all but three countries. The population of these countries represents 0.587 per cent. of the global total (World Bank Atlas 1990).
