§ Mr. Alan ClarkFigures detailing total defence expenditure for the period requested are published in the Eleventh report of the House of Commons Defence Committee on the Statement on the Defence Estimates. Expenditure on equipment and the nuclear strategic force can be found at tables 2.2 and 2.3 in volume 2 of the354W annual Statements on the Defence Estimates. It has been the policy of successive Governments not separately to identify expenditure on nuclear weapons.
